Band BiographyBy some strange quirk of fate, Micky D (bass) and Tub (drums) were joined by Boker (guitar) in a West Country comedy showband. After a dodgy first appearance using a vintage Gibson SG, Boker invested in a new guitar and turned up at the next gig with a Telecaster copy. Instantly, the three musicians started playing in a much edgier way and Boker started his Wilko Johnson inspired strut. Tub came up with the idea of starting a new band, based on the Dr Feelgood style that was bursting to come out. And so, One Off the Wrist was born. A few rehearsals showed the potential, but Tub felt unable to continue with the project - Mickey and Boker almost gave up until they saw Wilko Johnson live and were re-invigorated. A new drummer was found - Paul "Yellowbelly" Barrett - and the Poodles of Doom were formed.
